This beret was inspired by the beautiful textures in traditional Guernsey Fishermen’s jumpers. The jaunty textures suggested the hat also needed to sit at a jaunty angle, so it became a beret. Wear it with flair and a spring in your step!

The beret is worked flat and uses only simple stitches, so it’s within the reach of even beginner knitters. Instructions are given in both written and charted forms.
