Here you will find the first instalments in my ‘Brioche Mini’s’ range.

This collection currently contains two (but will contain more) simple brioche knit shawl shapes that you can use as the basis of a pattern to design your own shawl or just to practice your brioche. At the moment the two shapes are the crescent and the triangular, both are knitted top down using scrap yarn I had in my stash you can use any yarn for this and get fantastic fun results.

The photographed examples are made using DK weight Cascade 220 and a set of 4mm circulars.

In the pattern you will find links to YouTube videos that you may find helpful, I love using videos by The Unapologetic Knitter as she gives clear instructions and explains things well.

These were only my second time knitting brioche so you really don’t need to have much experience at all.

Have fun with the patterns! More on their way soon!!

I have added a couple of extra photos from some very lovely knitters that have taken the pattern to the next step… Adding a pattern and making a full version. There is so much scope for imagination with these shapes I just love what they’ve done with the brioche and the colours!!
