Select two colors of yarn to knit this cozy cocoon in brioche stitch. I used West Wool Tandem, a super soft DK weight wool as the main color with Qing Fibre’s Melted Baby Suri as the contrast color. The frothy Suri alpaca is delightfully soft and warm next to the face. Begin with regular 1x1 ribbing for the neck and then continue with two-color brioche for the hooded fabric. Decreases taper the shape of the Brioclava to softly curve along the face for a sleek stream-lined look. This project is very quick to knit and equally stylish and functional to layer with your winter wardrobe.

Finished Measurements
18″ / 46cm neck circumference (1x1 regular ribbing measured slightly stretched), 16″ / 41cm wide around face (from edge of left eye around the back to the edge of right eye), 12″ / 30cm tall (from CO edge to crown). Measurements taken after blocking.

The 1x1 ribbed neck stretches comfortably up to 22″ / 56cm.

The MC is a DK weight wool and the CC is closer to a sport weight, but it’s so fluffy and works really well together with the DK weight MC.
