Brisingamen is a cowl with cables and lace named for the necklace of the Norse goddess Freya.

The motif is easy to memorize, so even though every row is patterned it is a straightforward project. It’s easy to resize by casting on more/fewer stitches, and lends itself well to different weights of yarn.

The pattern assumes that you can read charts and have experience knitting in the round, cables, and basic lace.

Brisingamen is part of my series Among the Æsir -- shawls and cowls inspired by the Norse gods and their world.

With many thanks to my wonderful testers katisha, Abbottade, goodnurse, Carmen73, SunBluebird and TwistedThreads!
