Cap in 2 sizes, with decorative braid on band, brim, puffy top, spiral shaping on crown, and hem. Brim shape is created through geometry, tight gauge and double layers – no cardboard or plastic! Braid is knitted as part of the hat – no turning to pick up stitches.

This cap is named after my Grandmother’s Irish side of the family, the Brittons. They emigrated to the United States in the late 1800s. I’m still trying to trace their ancestry and learn about their journey.

Test knitted by caeknitter. Thanks, Cindy!
