This is a knitting pattern for a rectangular scarf for lace weight yarn but you could go up to 4 ply or beyond with a little adjustment to the pattern. I’ve included a paragraph describing how to adjust it. The lace pattern is worked on both sides. Two pieces are knitted separately and grafted together to complete.
The lace pattern gradually blends into a stockinette section, which really lets the yarn shine. Quick to knit, the size stated on the pattern (130 x 25 cm) uses less than 50g of yarn. Perfect for that gorgeous skein of lace you have stashed away, you know, the really good one. Gauge is a guideline, there or there abouts will be fine.
