Brīze was inspired by a small wooden fisherman’s figurine I came across while visiting Skagen, during a trip to Isager’s headquarters in Tversted, Denmark.
The sweater is worked holding a strand of sock yarn and a strand of lace-weight mohair-silk blend together throughout, seamlessly from the top down in joined, turned rounds. It begins with short rows at the back to shape the neckline before the yoke is worked in the round. The yoke is then divided for the body and sleeves, which are completed as you work. Ribbing finishes the neckline, cuffs, and hem. Both the body and sleeve lengths can easily be adjusted, allowing you to make Brīze your own.
