Slipped stitches are combined with striping to create this intricate appearing hat that really isn’t any where as difficult as it might appear. The only stitches used are knit, purl, slip, and slip with yarn in front (there are k2tog but they are just for the crown decrease.

Choose two high contrast, aran weight yarns and have a blast knitting up this cozy topper. I used the colors Bubble Gum and Silver to make my version but your’s can be whatever you desire. In the end, I chose to put a fun pom pom on top but that is entirely optional!

The hat is sized to fit:
S/M: 19.5 - 22” (49.5- 56 cm)
L: 22 - 24” (56 - 61 cm)
S/M/L ~ 9” (23 cm) tall

The instructions are provided so that you can work completely from written instructions or with the help of a colorwork chart.

If you would like to see this hat in action check out the Pattern Tour video on Watch Barbara Knit.
