This entrelac pattern is inspired by a quilt pattern called broken dishes made up of squares composed of four triangles of different colors. Designed for a summer baby, it is worked in washable cotton in a loose gauge. The same pattern could be made for a winter baby using a thicker wool.

The excitement in knitting this blanket come from choosing and arranging colors. It could be worked in any number of colors. The sample is worked in 10 different colors. At this gauge each ball of Mission Falls Cotton makes eight triangles.

Colors used in the sample are Frost (white), Pebble (pale blue green), Fog (medium blue green), Lentil (medium yellow green), Sky (blue), Musk (light orange), Pumpkin (deep orange), Merlot (Purple), Maize (Yellow), and Sea (deep blue green).
