ABOUT THE PATTERN

Bronte are a snuggly pair of socks featuring a graphic zig-zag slip stitch pattern. They are constructed toe-up and have an attractive round toe. The heel is constructed using my favourite German short rows and the cuff has a combination of garter stitch and twisted rib.

I designed them in Blacker Yarn’s Mohair Blends 4ply, which is a super strong sock yarn that doesn’t contain nylon. The mohair in the yarn gives the stitch a fuzzy, blended finish which is wonderfully cosy for winter.

If you want more stitch definition, you could substitute this for a smoother sock yarn as long as you could meet the gauge.
