I remember as a child, many years ago, the summer the cicadas emerged from the earth. They left their hollow shells all over the bark on trees and flew around with their prehistoric little wings. Brood X came summer 2021, and I wanted to honor those amazing insects with this sweater. The yoke has several cicadas with their wings folded and one central cicada on the front with wings spread open.
