Broom Rider's Socks
Broom Rider’s Socks is a pattern featuring a picot edge around the cuff, garter ridges with a slip stitch border along the instep, and a gusset under the foot, for maximum cozy fit.
The Broom Rider’s Socks are designed to keep your toes warm whilst you go about your witchy business. Whether you’re picking mushrooms, hanging herbs to dry, feeding your pet toad, or hopping on your broom for a quick fly around the village, they’re there to keep you nice and toasty.
Pair them up with the Broom Rider’s Mitts for the ultimate witchy outfit!
The sock is knit with fingering weight yarn (approx 420m/100g).
You can use any fingering weight sock yarn, but it is written with self-striping yarn in mind.
If you’d like to make your own stripes, this project is perfect for mini skeins (10-20g), or even yarn scraps.
You will need about 75-100g of your main self-striping yarn (or a total of 75-100g of mini skeins or scraps), and 25-30g of a contrast colour for your picot cuff, heel and toe.
Upon purchasing this pattern you will receive two PDF files:
One fully illustrated file with photo instructions, and one black-and-white, print-friendly version.
Both patterns include a row tracker sheet.
