This modern, self-striping yarn updates a traditional look in this broomstick crochet bonnet.

Bonnet is worked in broomstick lace, using a large diameter knitting needle and a crochet hook. It is worked in the flat, and then seamed along the back panel.

Broomstick Lace is a very traditional craft which fell out of favor and is now HOT. “Stitches” are almost square.
