The pattern is written for fingering/sock weight yarn, but includes recipe style instructions to use any weight yarn and hook size

Tension is not critical for this project, as long as the width of the starting chains are ±17cm.

50g/162m of fingering/sock weight yarn (but can be made in any weight yarn)
4mm (US G-6) crochet hook
