Step-by-step instructions show you how to create alternating rows of broomstick lace stitches and rows of star stitches. A border around the base and small beaded flower motif add just the right touch to make this shawl suitable for a wedding or any special occasion.

Skill level: Intermediate, intended for people familiar with the broomstick lace technique

Yarn used: I used 7 balls, approximately 191 yards each, of Ice Yarns Linen #2 sport weight yarn in white. Approximately 1330 yards total. The amount of yarn you need depends on the size of the needle or stick you use to create the broomstick lace. For this pattern, I used a ¾ inch round wooden dowel to create the broomstick lace.
