Brotamynd
About: The Brotamynd cowl is a cosy addition for your winter coat or spring wardrobe. This motif has got to be one of my absolute favourite Faroese knitting motifs. The rhombus and cross chart features in many of the women’s jumpers for the Faroese national costume. The chart is easy to remember and quite addictive.
The pattern is great if you’re new to mosaic knitting. The chart comes in a simplified version for intermediate knitters and an expanded version. You can choose to knit from the chart you’re most comfortable with or knit from the written instructions if that’s easier for you.
Construction: The Cowl is knitted in the round using only one colour at a time. All you have to do after knitting is weave in ends and you’re done!
The instructions include schematics, charts, written instructions for the chart. It also has an introduction to mosaic knitting and instructions for special techniques such as Icelandic Bind-Off.
The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted
