This pattern is designed for mohair yarn, because the vest is brushed once completed and mohair is one of the best yarn types for brushing, however this vest can be made with any other type of yarn that meets gauge if not intended to be brushed after.

The vest is knitted with 2 yarn strands of mohair held together, which can be done by pulling yarn strand from inside and outside at the same time if it’s in a cake or a ball, winding up the yarn into 2 cakes or having 2 yarn balls.

Vest is worked bottom - up, completing waist ribbing first, then doing stockinette in rounds for waist part, separating it into front and back and once finished, seaming at the shoulders and completing it with armhole and collar ribbing. Ribbing part is completed with 4mm needles, while main body with 4.5mm needles.

Pattern is written for sizes XS (S) M (L) XL and (XXL) and instructions are written in this order. As an example, Rnds 1 – 10 (10) 12 (12) 14 (14): K2, P2 and rep, means Rnds 1 to 10 is for size XS, while Rnds 1 to 14 is for size XXL.
