A cute Aussie family in one pattern!: Includes instructions to make the Mom and Dad Possum and also the baby possum that is commonly called joey.

The female has a Pouch (an internal bag) where she can carry the joey.

This amigurumi is based on the Brushtail possum (Trichosurus vulpecula) and it is part of my collection of “Marsupials of the world”

Size: Mom and Dad measure approx. 9x4.7x” or 23x12cm and joey is just 2.3x1.1” or 6x3cm.

MATERIALS
You can use any yarn you like. You’ll need 4 colors.
For writting the pattern I used WW/10ply yarn

• Main Color: 50g for each adult (I used “PREMIERE Sweet Roll” in color Pepper Swirl.
• Contrasting Color: Less than 50g for each adult.
• Black: Less than 50g
• Soft pink: Less than 50g
• Small quantities of black, white and brown yarn or embroidery thread.
• Crochet hook: 3.5mm (E) or the size required for your yarn.
• Safety eyes: 14mm for the adults.
• Stuffing material, yarn needle and scissors.
• EXTRAS: A little piece of dark grey felt and a pet brush for the tail.

Intermediate to Advanced
I use a special shaping technique explained in the pattern.
