Bubble Crown

The story of this hat is about texture. I love these bubbles, emerging from the fabric, making it very textural, dimensional, sensuous. The hat is constructed in two parts, with the crown being slightly wider than the body to emphasize the curved shapes made possible by the unfinished fans that form the basis of the bubbles.

This is advanced level crochet, requiring skill with post stitches and, if another size desired, understanding how to measure and deviate. The pattern will provide guidance for this, but not in explicit detail.

4.4 ounces of aran or heavy worsted weight yarn required.
