These leg warmers can be worn for years - for younger kids as over the knee leg warmers and for older kids below the knee.

The striped garter stitch pattern is very stretchy in both directions. The shaping is done with short rows.

I used Novita Hohde, reflective yarn, but you can use any aran-weight yarn.

You’ll need around 200 m yarn (around 100 g if you use Novita Hohde).

You’ll also need knitting needles size 4 mm and double-pointed needles size 3.5 mm.
