When I attended the event Bubbelstick in Vasa, Finland I got the inspiration for these socks. An event that gathers knitters for an evening with activities and festivities, and of course champagne.

In an amazing atmosphere I started to sketch up these socks.
My esthetic often involves mixing the adorable feeling with a more rock n roll feeling. In these socks I mixed the cuteness in the lace pattern with the more coolness in the neon.

This sock is knitted toe up with a fleegle
heel. You can easily adjust the length of
the foot after your own measurements,
description for this is in the pattern. On
the top of the sock, you work an easy
lace pattern. When the heel is done the
lace pattern is worked around the entire
sock. The socks are finished with a
double folded cuff with an option to add
a frill for extra flare. The pattern includes
instructions for two different lengths of
the frill.

Gauge: 36 stitches x 52 rows
The gauge is only recommended, I rarely
measure my gauge for socks, so if you’re
not matching the gauge that’s not a
problem. If you feel like the sock is too
tight or loose, change your needle size.
Make sure to measure your row gauge
after a couple of centimeters just to see if
the measurement for starting the heel
needs to be adjusted.
Recommended needles: 2,5mm circular
needles for working magic loop, or
2,5mm dpn’s
Yarn suggestion: Quitter yarns BFL sock,
(425m/100g) (75% SW Bluefaced
leicester, 25% nylon), Northern yarn
studio Merino Sock, (425m/100g (75%
SW merino, 25% Nylon) or another
fingering sock yarn of your taste.
If you want to make the frill in mohair, it
will need about 5 grams of kidsilk mohair
yarn.
Yardage: For a size 37, I used about 70
grams/300m. A 100g skein should be
enough for a pair of socks up to size 42,
depending on the gauge. Because the
socks are knitted toe-up you can adjust
the length of the leg depending on you
yarn amount.

Measurements:
Length of toe: 4,5 cm
Foot circumstance: 22 cm in stretched,
unstretched about 14 - 16 cm
Heel flap; 5,5 cm
Foot length: adjustable for your size.
