Bucharest Dress
The dress is worked top-down and has a positive ease of approx. 5–10 cm 2–4 inches. First, the work is knitted back and forth to shape the V-neckline. The work is then joined and knitted in the round while increasing around the raglan stitches. The sleeve stitches are placed on hold, and the dress is worked straight down until the work is divided and side slits are formed on both sides. The sleeves are also worked straight down. Over the last 10 cm 4 inches of the sleeves, increases are made to create a flared shape. The sleeves are finished with an I-cord edge. Stitches are picked up around the neckline and finished with an I-cord edge. The pattern includes options for adding extra width to the dress of either 12 or 19 cm 4¾ or 7½ inches at the hips.
