The Bucket Full of Sunshine Hat is an updated, modern version of the classic, timeless granny square bucket hat. Made popular in the 1970s, it’s made a re-appearance and has become one of the most popular granny square hat designs.

The hat is made in 3 sections:

  • The top of the hat is a flat circle worked in continuous rounds,
  • The 4 granny squares are joined in a ring to form the body of the hat.
  • The brim is added once the sections are sewn together.

Three sizes included in the pattern:

  • Small (17” circumference)
  • Medium (20” circumference)
  • Large (22” circumference). With approx. 1” of positive ease, you can make a size smaller for a snug fit or the size closest to your head measurement for a more snug fit.
