Buena Onda is an easy-to-knit triangle shawl! It can be knit at any reasonable gauge in any reasonable yarn (super bulky might be impractical, but hey, if you want to, go for it!), and the construction is very friendly to randomly-sized skeins, making it ideal for handspun.

Though you can knit this at any gauge, in any yarn, in any reasonable yardage, the .PDF pattern includes the standard details for a shawlette like the sample. The sample is knit in fingering-weight/light sportweight handspun, at a gauge of 17sts and 36 rows over 4”/10cm of blocked garter stitch. Most will probably want to start with at least 360 yards and the listed gauge as a guideline to make a wearable shawlette.

Materials are pleasantly minimalist:
360+ yards of fingering-weight yarn (or other suitable yarn)
1 long circular needle in size needed for gauge (or your preferred drape/handle of the finished fabric)
1 tapestry needle for weaving in ends
