This fun doll can be personalized to suit your or someone else’s favorite colors. This pattern contains directions for the doll and hood. Look in my Ravelry store for hair patterns and modifications for this doll to personalize it even more.

Each doll stands around 10”-11” tall without its hood on using size 4 worsted weight yarn. You will need a pair of 12mm safety eyes. If you use different weight yarn you will need to adjust your hook size accordingly.

I enjoy crocheting dolls and animals, but I don’t enjoy sewing all the pieces together. So the Bugsy Doll starts at the bottom of the feet and continues on with no joining until you finish off the top of the head and the arms are crocheted on as you go. The only sewing to do is the hood and the hair (if you choose to sew the hair on).

You will need to know how to crochet in the row and round, single crochet, half double crochet, foundation half double crochet (optional), increase, decrease, chain, bobble, crochet in back loop only.

Special techniques (many resources on YouTube) perfect color change, magic ring, invisible decrease.

Most of all have fun using whatever colors you like! I even buy clear safety eyes and paint them with nail polish to customize my dolls even more.
