Blanket is made in blocks that are sewn together.
Final border around blanket is worked after all blocks are sewn together.
I prefer to sew as I go because I am not a fan of sewing. If I leave all of the sewing until the end of the project it seems too overwhelming. If I sew the rows together as they are completed, I get to see how the blanket looks as it is coming together.
The below pattern will show you how to crochet each type of square or rectangle and then the chart in the back will show you what type of each you will need for each row. If you follow the chart you will see which type of square or rectangle you will need to crochet next and which color you will need to use.
I have also included a blank chart which has no colors attached. With this chart you can write in your own colors so you know which colors you need to use with each size square or rectangle.
