Simply put, the Building Blocks Mittens are addictive, easy colorwork mittens that keep your hands warm. They knit up quickly, making them a perfect weekend project or last-minute gift.
They come in two sizes and are customizable to your hands. Worked from the cuff up in simple, rhythmic colorwork, they’re engaging from start to finish.
The pattern provides charts for both light MC and dark MC versions.

Worsted-weight yarn.
Filcolana Peruvian (100% wool, 100 m / 110 yds / 50 g)
Off-white and red sample: knitted in Filcolana Peruvian, colorways 977 Marzipan (melange) and 218 Chinese Red.
Grey and off-white sample: knitted in Filcolana Peruvian, colorways 956 Charcoal and 977 Marzipan (melange).
YARDAGE
MC 2 balls of Peruvian in 977 Marzipan (melange) or 65 (75) g / 130 (150) m / 145 (165) yds
CC 1 ball of Peruvian in 218 Chinese Red or 25 (30) g / 50 (60) m / 55 (65) yds

NEEDLES
2.5 mm / US 1.5 and 3 mm / US 2.5, 80 cm / 32″ circular needles.
GAUGE
24.5 sts x 27 rnds = 10 cm / 4″ in colorwork on 3 mm / US 2.5 needles, after blocking.
NOTIONS
Darning needle, scrap yarn.
