I designed this blanket specifically for bulky yarn, where very few stitches are needed for a pattern repeat.

Super Bulky yarn is trending at the moment, so here is a classic, revamped for big yarn!

Baby Blocks are a favourite pattern for little ones, and this blanket is fun, quick and easy to knit.

The pattern is completely reversible, it looks exactly the same on both sides.

This pattern is for a square receiving size blanket, but I have included instructions for enlarging it to any size, square or rectangle, that you want.

Materials( for the 26” or 66 cm square blanket):

400 g Super Chunky Yarn amounts will vary, depending on your yarn choice, if in doubt get an extra ball, and if you plan a larger blanket, get more accordingly.

I used Stylecraft Super Chunky Special XL Knitting needles: 10 mm or US 15 circulars, at least 80 cm or 32 “ long, to accommodate the stitches.
You can use straight needles, but it will be a real workout for your wrists and arms. 2 stitch markers (or use waste yarn)
