We usually think of lace as light, delicate fabric, but knitted lace patterns can be worked in any yarn – even bulky. This cowl was designed to use two skeins of a luscious bulky yarn,

Mirasol “Sulka.” The merino wool and baby alpaca give it softness, and the silk imparts a lovely sheen. The thickness of the yarn adds a bit of texture to the lace as well.
