If you know how to knit and purl but are ready to take the next step, then this is the pattern for you! Designed in three sizes and made with roughly 130 yards of chunky weight yarn (all three sizes can be made with one skein of the 128 Superwash, although you’ll get to the end of the ball if you’re making the Adult Large size), you’ll need one 16” circular needle in size US 10 and a set of double pointed needles, also in size US 10 to complete this project (another 16” circular needle in size US 9 is optional, but recommended). You’ll also need a crochet hook, ideally somewhere in the 5 - 6 millimeter range but smaller will work too!

Oh, and this pattern is offered entirely as a video tutorial. In it, you will learn the long tail cast on, joining in the round, knitting in the round, how to do the crown decreases, and the fun detail circling the hat. :) The only things I don’t demonstrate are knitting, purling, and tucking in your ends.

Important Note: This pattern is offered on Skillshare, and the $0.99 fee is not for the pattern specifically, but a 3-month subscription to the site.

And another one! I realize that the link above says that this pattern is “available for download,” but that’s a Ravelry wording I can’t change! This pattern is actually a video tutorial.
