When I make afghan squares for charity, I usually do my Bumpy Square design. I like it so much, and it’s so easy, that I wondered if it could possibly be worked up as a hat. I tinkered, and came up with this.

The basic construction is easy. Rounds alternate bump, sc, bump, sc with a round of all sc. It’s just a matter of paying attention to the increases. On the bump rounds, there will never be two bumps in a row, nor will there be two sc in a row. Just watch the increases, and you should be fine. :)
