I was first introduced to the concept of a bun break by the Wells & Wong Mystery series by Robin Stevens. A bun break is a short mid-morning (or mid-afternoon) rest period with a rotating selection of baked treats—chelsea buns, or cookies, or perhaps a slice of cake. At my house bun break also includes tea or coffee, and graham crackers are more common than proper buns, but really, that’s the beauty of bun break: you can, and absolutely should, make it your own!

The Bun Break pullover is the sweater equivalent of a bun break. It’s sweet, relaxing, cozy, and customizable in a variety of ways.

Construction
The sweater is cast on at the top and the neckline shaping is worked flat before joining in the round to complete the raglan shaped body (which can be cropped or not). Sleeves are knit in the round from the underarm to the cuff (which can include thumbholes, or not), before you move on to the neckline (which can be a crew neck or a turtleneck). And no matter which options you choose your Bun Break will be gorgeous!

Sizing
Bun Break is available in 10 sizes, with finished bust measurements of 34 (38, 42, 46)(50, 54, 58)(62, 66, 70)” / 86.5 (96.5, 107, 117)(127, 137, 147.5)(157.5, 168, 178) cm
