The bunny ears cactus, also known as angel wings, is characterized by flat, rounded segments that look like a beaver’s tail. It is a cousin of the large paddle cactus that grows in the southwestern USA and Mexico. Bunny ears occasionally produce flowers and are adorned with a polka-dot pattern of fuzzy glochids. These glochids are short prickles and cause irritation to the skin when touched. However, you have nothing to worry about with this cuddly crocheted version.
