Finished Size
Approximately 6 inches wide (4.5 inches at the bottom) and 5 inches tall. 8.5 inches if you add the ears standing up.
Abbreviations
BLO = Back Loop Only
DC = Double Crochet
HDC = Half Double Crochet
INC = Increase (2 single crochet in the same stitch)
Join = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
Reverse SC = Same as a single crochet, but instead of working right to left (right-handed) you would them left to right. If you are left-handed, instead of working left-to right, you would work right to left.
Additional Information
Joining with a slip stitch DOES NOT count as a stitch. Make sure you do a stitch into the same stitch you slip stitch into.
I recommend getting 2 skeins of whichever yarn you choose so that you are able to crochet with 2 strands more easily, rather than trying to use both sides of a skein.
I was able to get 4 baskets out of 2 skeins.
