This versatile bunny rabbit cozy can have many uses; it fits a large chicken egg, which is about the same size as a plastic re-fillable egg. Create a whimsical centrepiece, embellish an Easter basket, or leave on your co-worker’s desk as a secret surprise!

Size: Instructions are for one size, approx. 3.25 inches wide (dimensions don’t include pompom), and 2.25 inches tall (from bottom to top of back, 3 inches tall from bottom to top of head)

Yarn: Approx. 25 yds of heavy worsted or aran weight yarn for the bunny body. Bunnies pictured were knit with aran Supersaver yarn by Red Heart.
1.5 yds for the outer ears
Approx. 1.5 yds pink (heavy worsted of aran) for the inner ears
Approx. 5 yds in heavy worsted or aran weight for tail (pompom)

Needles: Set of 5mm (US 8) straight knitting needles

Gauge: 7 sts and 13 rows = 5cm (2 inches) in garter stitch (knit every row).

Other Materials: half yard length of black or white fingering weight yarn or embroidery thread for eyes
half yd of pink fingering weight yarn or embroidery thread for the nose
tapestry needle for weaving in ends and seaming bunny together
plastic egg or large-sized chicken egg for stuffing the bunny
medium dinner fork for making the pompom tail
