Have you followed the adventures of Magnus, Taako, and Merle? This hat features the symbol found on the braces worn by the Bureau of Balance Regulators.

This hat is worked bottom-up, mostly in the round, using main and contrast colors of aran weight yarn on size 8 (4.75mm) needles. It is worked all in one piece. What does “mostly in the round” mean? It means that you don’t work the charted section in the round - you turn the work for those rounds (rows) and then seam that section when the hat is complete. This allows for the majority of the work to be done in the round and a minimum of seaming. (If you would rather work the entire thing flat and seam it all up, you could do that.)

The brim of this hat is ribbed for a nice fit and the hat fits comfortably snugly.

This pattern includes sizes small, medium, and large.
