As long as lace has a solid place within it, it can be embroidered upon. That’s what prompted this lace vest with Palestrina knots. But, once I had them on, I didn’t like what they did to the look of the whole pattern — I saw horseshoes instead of fountains. I tried every stitch I could think of to accent the double decrease lines, but nothing looked good. Finally, just running a double strand through the double decreases solved the problem.
