Literally, my absolute & HANDS-DOWN favorite hat to wear and has been since 2017. And, NOW, it’s offered in FIVE yarn weights!!! I taught myself how to knit, February 18th, 2011, so that I could make a BEANIE. I have made hundreds! This one? Without a doubt, my absolute favorite hat to wear. i’ve now taught this class more times than I can count. It never gets old! ‍♀️

This stunning beaded butterfly stitch hat is knitted in the round. While beads are optional (and pre-stranded), do you want “pretty“ or “super pretty“!?! ‍♀️

You will need 40-110 size 6/0 (or 7/0!) beads, depending on hat size. You will also need: size US5 & US7, 16-inch circulars, 100-200 yards of Yarnitoli DK yarn. I have added a video tutorial to my pattern, for reference, on the butterfly/bead rounds. This is a fun, quick, and GORGEOUS knit! You, literally, slip half of your stitches, every other round! Gauge
5 stitches per inch

Materials
• One skein of Yarnitoli fingering, sport, DK, or worsted weight
• Size US2 (fingering), US4 (sport), US5 (DK), US6 (worsted) 16-inch circulars for the brim
• Size US4 (fingering), US6 (sport), US7 (DK), US8 (worsted) 16-inch circulars for the crown of the hat
• On beaded butterfly rounds you will use one bead per 10 sts. The featured DK hat has 90 beads with a cast-on of 100: 10 beads per beaded butterfly round “x” 9 beaded butterfly rounds (including decreases) for a total of 90 lk(size 8/0 for fingering, size 8/0 or 6/0 for sport, size 6/0 for DK, size 6/0 or 4/0 for worsted)
