Butterflies and Shadows sock KAL
Colored butterflies are in the thechnique Intarsia in the Round, the “shadows” are same motif, but purled in base color.

Today, April 16th 2021, the pattern for a swatch ball is loaded to Files in the group. The pattern has stitch-by-stitch instructions for working an Intarsia butterfly and can also be used for gauge and for trying out color combinations.
Sunday, April 18th, the actual sock pattern will be uploaded to the group.

The KAL is free, there is no time limit to finish and you are wellcome, even encouraged to do whatever changes to the pattern you fancy.

Yarn: running length of 420 meters/100 grams aka fingering or ligth fingering.
Suggested needle size: 2.5 mm, Can be worked on any type of needles, but DPNs might be the easiest, as you will have to shift stitches around to avoid changing needles in the middle of doing intarsia.
Heels provided (if you do not prefer to use your own): Heel flap Integrated in the Round and 2 sizes of average heel flaps

All takes place in the Facebook group Advanced Socks - Knitting, Fitting and Designing - and don´t let the “advanced” scare you of: it is sock with a bit “more”. More than vanilla, seed stitches and average ribbing, could be some colorwork, cabling, lace or lie in the construction of the sock or part of it.

If you want to join, please remeber to answer entry questions, to be let into the group
