The blanket is knitted in one piece in stocking stitch from a chart, with written instructions for the edging and making up. I have used Rowan Cotton Glace, a 100% cotton yarn with a wide colour palette which is ideally suited for babies and children and is also hard wearing and washes well. The edging is knitted separately then sewn on to the blanket.

The pattern chart is provided in two formats: 1 x A3 (11x17) and 2 x A4 (8.5x11). If you do not have an A3 (11x17) printer or would prefer to print two A4 (8.5x11) charts and join them together there are instructions for how to do this.

The instructions are for one size only, 45cm x 60cm which fits a buggy/moses basket. I usually back the blanket with quilting, there are instructions for this in the pattern. The shades used in the chart are for the blanket as it appears in the photo. Some of the shades may have been discontinued but there are other shades available in this yarn.
