Crescent shawl featuring the butterfly stitch! The shawl is worked from side to side starting at the narrow end. The edging is worked as you go! A closeup photo of the butterfly stitch is included in the pattern.

Dimensions: about 22 inches wide at the wider end x 60 inches long (unblocked). Blocking is recommended.

Materials: DK or light worsted weight yarn and Size G (4.25mm) crochet hook. I recommend using cotton or cotton blend yarn for this shawl so it holds the blocking better. A yarn with good drape is a great choice!

Gauge: 18 dc x 9 rows = 4’’

The pattern is written in standard American/U.S. terms.
