Butterfly Delight
Butterfly Delight
Ten delicate butterflies dance gracefully across this elegant lace shawl, creating a beautiful celebration of nature. The pattern includes two size options, each featuring the same ten unique butterflies. In the smaller version, the butterflies are placed closer together for a more compact design.
The body of the shawl is worked on the bias, allowing the butterflies to flow naturally across the fabric. Because of the bias construction, the shawl should be knit with a yarn that blocks well and holds its shape. A round of single crochet is worked around the center section to establish the correct stitch count before the lace border is added. The border is knit separately and attached last, creating a refined finished edge.
