This pattern was developed to be part of The Butterfly Project, a movement for raising awareness of depression and self-harm. MamaSheri Halliday suggested that individuals suffering from depression could draw a butterfly on their wrist instead of cutting, as an affirmation that they would NOT hurt themselves, and to promote self-healing. I found this to be a beautiful idea worth exploring. It won’t work for everyone, as each individual has to find their own way to health and happiness, but it is a tool that may work for some.
YARN
This pattern calls for a small amount of fingering weight yarn in contrasting colors. Excellent for sock yarn remnants.
