Butterfly Wing Shawl
by Tara M Clark
Typically called a “dragon wing” shawl, this type of construction starts out like an asymmetric shawl, but the stair-stepping manner of the outer edge gives it an elongated, sloping side that is just perfect for these gorgeous butterflies.
This pattern is Intermediate because of how we work down the side of the rows to create the butterflies.
With only one cake of Red Heart It’s A Wrap Sprinkles, I was able to make a 70” long shawl. You can use any yarn you want, though I would not recommend bigger than worsted weight.
