Buttermilk Sky is a textured cowl knit in the round. Its slipped-stitch pattern is reminiscent of a buttermilk sky—a sky covered by a blanket of puffy altocumulous clouds.

Instructions are provided for two sizes: a small, close-fitting version knit in DK weight yarn, and a large version knit in worsted weight yarn. Both sizes knit up quickly thanks to the many slipped stitches, which also add extra warmth. The large size can be worn in a variety of ways: loosely draped, folded over like a turtleneck, or fastened with a shawl pin.

The small (DK weight) size takes 140-150 yards. The larger (worsted weight) size takes 200-220 yards.

A medium size can be made by knitting the small size in worsted weight yarn.

Finished Measurements:
Small: 6 inches/15cm height and 18 inches/46 cm circumference
Large: 9 inches/22cm height and 24 inches/61cm circumference
