Knit bottom up, beginning with band.

MATERIALS
YARN: 1 skein 100% superwash merino wool, chunky weight, 100g / 103 yds.

NEEDLES: US9 6 mm DPNs or circular needles to suit your preferred method of knitting in the round; if required, a set of needles for the band (knitted flat).

GAUGE: 3.5 sts and 5 rows in 1” square, in stockinette stitch

SIZE: 21.25” 53.8 cm circumference – will stretch a little. For a slightly larger circumference, use a larger needle size.

OTHER: stitch-marker; tapestry needle, 1.5” 3.8 cm button.

One skein (100g) of chunky yarn should be sufficient to knit this hat.
