This basic Twigg-stitch hat and matching fingerless mitts are worked flat in rows with three-color stripes. The pieces have buttonholes at each side that are fastened with double buttons (which can be a different style on each side of the fabric), making the entire set completely reversible. For fun, each side features a different stripe pattern. The top of the hat is shaped with decreases that form an interesting star pattern. The thumbs on the mitts are positioned so that there is no “left” or “right” mitt; each can be worn on either hand or with either side facing out.
