This is a pattern for a knit shawl that features two lace (and cable-lace) stitches that come to us from Japan. The focal stitch is an intricate and unique cable lace stitch that makes quite a statement. The border stitches are also unique, but quite a bit easier to knit. Combined, they make a one of a kind shawl, quickly becoming an heirloom.

There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging contained within the pattern.

Skill Level: Intermediate+ (assuming a basic knowledge of cable-lace knitting).

The two stitches are both charted.

The sample was expertly pattern tested by Deb Terrio, who can be contacted at: jstdt3t@gmail.com. The sample was knitted using Handmaiden’s Casbah yarn in Troumaline.

The pattern is for sale at my Etsy shop in the Cable Lace Shawl Section (https://www.etsy.com/shop/WearableArtEmporium?section_id=...)
