YARN USED FOR THIS AMIGURUMI BEE
100% non pilling acrylic is the best option if you’re brushing your bee. But if you’re not, fee free to use any other yarn you like. Here is what I used:

Color 1 (C1): Yellow - Approximately 0.91 oz (26 g) or 47 yds (43 m).
Color 2 (C2): Black - Approximately 1.04 oz (29 g) or 59 yds (54 m).
Color 3 (C3): White - Approximately 0.61 oz (17 g) or 37 yds (34 m).

MATERIALS AND TOOLS:

  • 3.50 mm (US E) T hook for the bee. 5.00 mm (US H) hook for the legs. Stitch marker Stuffing fiber like Poly-fil Stuffing tool – I use a hemostat, but a craft dowel helps as well. Pet slicker brush – brushing your be to make fuzzy is optional. A pair of 8mm safety eyes with washers. Safety eye placement tool (optional) Scissors Yarn needle – to weave in the ends.

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY: Intermediate. Or advanced beginners who are comfortable with the basics for Amigurumi making:
chain, single crochet in the round/in a spiral, single crochet increase, single crochet decrease (invisible decrease recommended), puff stitch (written instructions included), color change, slip stitch, single crochet back loop only, stuffing, assemble and/or join parts together with the crochet hook as you go, hand sewing, fasten off.
