BWS (Basketweave and Seed Stitch) Blanket is a reversible, textured and light weight blanket, available in 3 sizes.

The pattern consists of basketweave and seed stitch sections, with a garter stitch border.
While the blanket has a patchwork appearance, it is knit seamlessly in one piece, including the garter stitch border on all edges. The blanket is reversible, and attractive on both sides.

Instructions are clearly written for 3 sizes.
Small - 24” x 30”
Medium - 32” x 40”
Large - 40” x 50”
Sizes are approximate, and after blocking.

Required skills include casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off.
Some experience with textured stitches (knits and purls) will be helpful.

Materials required include approximately 500/900/1400 yds worsted weight yarn (for sizes Small/Medium/Large), and size 8 circular needles, 24” - 32” length.

Recommended Gauge is 4.5 stitches = 1” in stockinette stitch.
Although the blanket is knit with textured stitches, gauge information is provided in stockinette stitch, for ease in substituting yarns, and/or determining appropriate sized needles.
Change needle size as necessary, to achieve correct gauge and/or a fabric that you like.
Since this is a blanket, exact gauge is not critical. It will, however, affect the finished size and amount of yarn used.

Sample was knit in size small, using 3 skeins of Berroco Vintage, color 51176 (Fuschia).
